What data we collect and why

We collect personal data in two ways: directly from you when you submit the contact form, and automatically through analytics tools when you browse the site.

Contact form

When you fill in the contact form, we collect your name, email address, business name, and message. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any marketing list from a contact form submission unless you explicitly tick the marketing consent box. The lawful basis is legitimate interests — responding to a business enquiry you initiated.

Analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors navigate the site. This includes pages visited, time on site, and approximate geographic location. Neither tool collects personally identifiable information in isolation. The lawful basis is consent — you can accept or decline when the banner appears, and change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.

Third parties we share data with

We name every third party that receives data from this site.

• Google Analytics — website analytics. Data may be transferred to the United States under Google's data processing terms, which incorporate the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (UK IDTA). Google's Privacy Policy
• Microsoft Clarity — session recording and heatmaps. Data is processed by Microsoft under their data protection terms. Microsoft Privacy Statement
• Resend — email delivery. Contact form submissions are forwarded to us via Resend. Data is held on Resend's servers temporarily for delivery purposes. Resend Privacy Policy
• Railway — cloud hosting for the contact API and Vela chatbot backend. Data transits Railway's infrastructure during form submission. Railway Privacy Policy

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with anyone other than the processors listed above.

How long we keep your data

Contact form submissions are retained for up to 24 months from the date of last contact, after which they are deleted. Google Analytics data is retained for 26 months per Google's default retention settings. If you request deletion before these periods, we will action it within one calendar month.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data. You can exercise any of them by emailing build@socialift.tech. We will respond within one calendar month.

• —Right to access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• —Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• —Right to erasure — ask us to delete your data where there is no overriding reason to keep it.
• —Right to restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data while a dispute is resolved.
• —Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• —Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
• —Rights related to automated decision-making — we do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling.
• —Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent (analytics), you can withdraw it at any time by declining cookies. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. Contact form data is transmitted over encrypted connections. Access to submitted data is limited to Priyanshu and the processors named above. No sensitive personal data (financial, health, or special category data) is collected by this site.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, contact us at build@socialift.tech and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our data practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
